ASTRA Welcomes New CEO!

The Australian & New Zealand Short Term Rental Association (ASTRA) is excited to introduce Mitchell Price as its inaugural Chief Executive Officer.

Mitchell brings a wealth of experience and expertise across strategic communications, marketing, public relations, and stakeholder management, as well as an extensive network in the private and public sectors.

As the former Country Head for Lime, a micro-mobility transport technology company, Mitchell navigated complex regulatory environments to establish Lime in new markets, including Japan and the Republic of Korea, elevating the company’s reputation in the tourism, technology, and transport industries. Mitchell’s leadership and business experience comes from establishing a strategic communications and government affairs firm, advising global technology and transportation companies on the growth and governance nexus between tourism, electric vehicles, and urban travel.

Mr Price said his vision for ASTRA focuses on growing and engaging members, effective public advocacy, and robust governance frameworks.

“I’m delighted to join the team at ASTRA as inaugural CEO and look forward to advancing ASTRA’s reputation as the peak national body for the short-term rental industry,” Mr Price said.

“Our industry is facing significant challenges and I look forward to working with our members, who represent over 200,000 properties across Australia and New Zealand, as well as broader industry and governments at all levels to promote responsible hosting and standardise a sector that serves as a vital backbone to our tourism and visitor economies in metro, regional and rural communities.”

Mitchell commenced with ASTRA in November 2023.
